Well enjoyment is subjective and if you enjoy western tv more than anime right now than good for you. Tastes change. Personally though I wouldnt assign any kind of objective value to one medium or another because of that.

Anime is objectively terrible

Leave the objectivity to the critics. In the end, subjective opinions are what buys DvD's, movie tickets, boxsets, and other merch. If you want, you're free to be objective all you want.. However, it's NOT objectivity, but subjectivity, that decides the value of an entertainment platform. And my subjective opinion is that WTV has been far superior overall than Japanese Anime here recently.
