You're assuming that everyone here is an intovert who doesn't socialise. But anyway, I disagree on the hipster bar thing. All my musician friends tend to congregate at this one traditional pub where the beer is the best in town. That's what draws them there. Hipster bars be damned. :P

Any pub/bar that is meticulous about keeping their pipes clean will probably have good tasting alcohol on tap, assuming the bar staff also knows how to "pull a pint" properly. That doesn't come down to being hipster, traditional or otherwise. Just means management and staff aren't lazy bastards. XD

Of course, on saying that, we have the same problem with homelessness as everywhere else, especially in the capital. Also, "invisible" homeless who are put up in emergency accommodation (hotels/hostels) while they wait for the council to get them a house. We do have a housing crisis here currently where there isn't enough affordable housing available.

worth noting that the median wealth list you shared isnt really an indication of day to day purchasing power. I'd reckon a lot of that list is mostly swayed by the housing prices. AUstralia has insane housing prices so the majority of the wealth people have is because of their houses. which is really just sitting wealth since they cant do much but live in there. germany is low because people rent there.

i say the living costs in the USA is high cuz of education and healthcare which are necessities almost. and even everyday stuff is comparatively expensive.

5 guys has always been highly overrated and overpriced. They give you a nice amount of fries though which is the only thing I like about them. 15 bucks for a damn hamburger is a rip off though.
