It's about time they went back. The modern/future combat stuff is now as tired as the WWII stuff was 15 years ago.

First CoD game I'm looking forward to in a long time.

Call of Duty will continue it's trend of being a franchise that I am not looking to play. Not a knock on them, I just haven't been compatible with a standard shooter since Black Ops, or Modern Warfare 2, whichever came first. I played Battlefield 1 exactly one time.

World War II is so over done.
    They should go back further.

Call of Duty: Medieval Warfare anyone?

Chivalry: Medieval Warfare has that covered already.

But it doesn't provide that self-loathing feeling you get when you play Call of Duty.
    I kid.

What I want is a more "cinematic" version of Chivalry. I think Activision got that in spades when it comes to Call of Duty and personally, I think that's a venue that we're lacking in the genre.

Chivalry is not a bad game, I think what I kind of want is the kind of thing Call of Duty can offer, but in a Medieval setting.

Yeah, they're really just following Battlefield 1 in going back to the WWII theme, aren't they? -_-

I realize a lot of you folks probably don't follow, but the COD:Zombies community has been slowly simmering for the past couple months and recently, like within the last week, it's just blown up with leaks and rumors.

Basically Treyarch are going to release another DLC for BO3, and it's looking like a huge remake of many of the previous COD:Zombies maps. Now the funny thing is that there were inklings about this even before COD IW hit the scene, so it's probably not intentionally a tie over until COD WW2 but the timing couldn't be better considering rumors are COD IW really didn't sell well.

It's not COD WW2 but it's somewhat related.

Also WAW was the best COD, fite me over it.

Technically... Battlefield 1 takes place in World War 1.

LOL What is this... they could of literally just named it COD: WAW HD

Activision would of made more money had they just sold MW HD Re-Make as a stand alone title. The whole Advanced Warfare was getting a bit out of hand after they took a bite out of Titan Fall's playbook.

    My dude.

You realize WAW was about the American Pacific, and Russian European Campaigns?

All we've seen so far from COD WW2 is the Allied European campaign (assumed American because wah wah Texas wah wah).

Maybe you're thinking of Medal of Honor. Incidentally I was fucking pissed when my toaster couldn't even run the MoH:Allied Assault demo from PC Gamer back in the day.

Also new Zombies mode from the same people who created Deadspace? Could be pretty good.

Also what are the going to do with that social hub deal? What in the shit.

I know what they were.... I am just saying that the video which I am assuming is probably the intro level of the campaign is eeeeerily familiar to the first level of WAW..... I remember the stupid achievements complete the level with nothing but melee attacks... xD.

WAW was good, and a great throwback from the Modern Warfare games, but I think it really didn't give shine to Treyarchs capabilities as a DEV team. At least not until Black Ops.
