According to ANN, Code Geass is getting a new sequel. They will also release a three part compilation film series that will recap the story so far. The first film is due for release in 2017 and will have some new scenes, which the cast have been recording for. I barely finished the first season as is and I most likely won't ever finish the series off. But i have friends who liked it so good for them.
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection Well, guess the title gave the game away. Still need to finish Akito the Exiled film series.
I actually haven't finished the existing Code Geass to know what the ending is like, but it's on my list of stuff to complete because it is pretty good. Just been mega busy ^^.
I haven't finished it either. Unfortunately I've seen way to many anime themed videos that have ruined the ending for me i honestly can't be bothered to
Not the biggest fan of the show but the ending was amazing! One of the best endings in anime and very fitting for a show that took its inspiration from Greek tragedies. In fact I'd say had it not been for that ending I would probably be a lot less positive about this show and maybe not even recommend it at all. For me that ending was it's saving grace. So why the hell do they want to shit all over that ending? It's not like Sunrise is not making enough money out of Gundam (because it is)
Actually, from what I've heard the Japanese ending was actually different. Spoiler Lelouch lives at the end[\Spoiler]
I was in the middle of season 2, and I never got around to finishing it. It's on my really long to-watch list. Now I feel like I'll have to finish it soon. Ugh. Season 1 was excellent though. I really like the series; I just haven't got around to watching it.
To be fair season 2 was a bit of a slog and got downright stupid here and there. But if you hang in there you'll see one of the more memorable (and bittersweet) endings anime has to offer.
I don't know why people are saying the ending was the only good thing. It was an all around amazing show that was really entertaining and lelouch was a badass motherfucker too. It's way better than deathntoe and there are many similarities between them. And if you were to compare both second seasons Code Geass is better by a mile than that trash that was the second season of death note. Granted, it wasn't nearly as good as first season i'll say that. Nowhere near as tactical and more about power ups rather than the genius we saw in season 1 but it was sitll there and was still entertaining enough. Season 1 had great twists, great ending, and shocking deaths. It was excellent. The ending of course, i think is bar none one of the best if not the best ending I've ever seen and i know i still have to watch cowbow bebop. A squel was in the talks a long time ago and I always thought it would be a terrible idea because it would ruin an amazing ending.
Lelouch. More like Le douche. His tactical decisions became questionable in second season. It's like he got braindead after whatever trauma occurred to him at the end of season one. I'm done with Ledouche, but I'm morbidly curious just how much of a trainwreck this blatant cash-in will be.

Done. And for your information, I had a hard time merging these two threads (took me more than enough time to find which page the original one was at). You owe me brunch.
