And I thought that was going to be an evil spirit like in The Grunge movies.
It is an evil spirit to kao first then back to purple hair girl. Kao finding a kindred spirit in her was funny.
The new episode was hilarious. Kaos is becoming more likable each week.
Yeah even though its a tad light and formulaic its still cute. I do like that they all change a little bit.
the train was cute with the grandmas and "want a cracker?
The teacher wasnt recognized without makeup and they called one of em a waifu!!!!
The study group was fun too.
Question why does the manga manager call the student kaos-SENSEI????? Isnt that reserved for older people?
The editor refers to her as "Sensei" because she is a Manga creator. It's a common practicality to call a Manga creator "Sensei"
Ohh as in eromanga sensei! Never noticed it in that series.
Though technically kaos hasnt had anything approved so shouldnt be an apprentice honorofi?
Is she ever going to get anything approved? I realize she's making incremental improvements but she's so far behind the others. Well, I suppose that miracles do happen, hopefully.
$10 the season ends with Kaos getting serialized.
@Griffmeister and Grungie - yep im sure youre right thats the probable outcome at this point.
It's so cute it doesn't matter what the plot is
Comic Girls Opening FULL「MEMORIES」by Comic Girls
Yoda succumbed to the cuteness factor again.
So sue me
Omg was i prophetic or what!!
They actually used the line
ill die from the cuteness!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Too cute all around another brilliant episode. The manuscripts and kaos chan saying
how much do i have to pay to keep watching tjis when tsubasa was shopping for clothes
Hell yeah BABY! KAOS-SENSEI!!!
A little too on the nose but still very satisfying
Story 7/10: The story is about a bunch of young manga artists living together and bettering their careers. It showed the struggles of being a manga artist at times and the success as well. I liked how they brought a fan aspect into the story with Sensei being a big fan of Tsubasa's.
Art and Animation 10/10: Being an anime about making Manga I expected everything to be fantastic. And sure enough the Art and Animation was wonderful. I liked Nexus when they did Calvary and Wakaba Girl so I wasn't worried about how the animation would turn out overall.
Sound and Voice Acting 7/10: I wasn't a fan of the opening or ending. However I felt like the voice acting was really well done. I love Rie Takahashi and I usually hear her as Megumin in most of her roles but she played Tsubasa really well.
Characters 10/10: This cast of characters blended really well. Kaos was a surprise to me because while I hated her nervous spats and her calling herself trash constantly she made me laugh the most throughout this anime. Tsubasa though was right up there and she remained my favorite throughout.
Enjoyment 8/10: I really enjoyed this anime. It was a lot of fun and it was very relatable at time. Just young people trying to work hard at their profession and overcoming specific obstacles.
Overall 7/10: I would have hoped Comic Girls wouldn't have been a cute girls doing cute things anime, but it slightly was that in the end. There was a lot of progression throughout the anime but it was more of these girls going out and gaining experience and ideas to help them with their works. It still has a lot of cute moments and the characters are awesome. I would recommend Comic Girls if you're looking for a cute show that sort of breaks the moild.
Ha you lost!
Ok you sorta got it right.
@Sora Senpai - id agree with most of your takes. Ill add that i liked that tgey gave each character a shining moment. It wasnt just a brief backstory. Well as much as you can do in a twelve ep season.
If you think of it a certain way its almost the rocky theme throughout. Not eye of tye tiger but perseverance. Spoiler he doesnt win the first bbout with creed but he proves he can compete and does eventually win. She does the same after countless rejected manuscripts.
I thought kaos chans imagination was great and the psuedo yuri attraction to kayume (the blonde/orange hair one). Her run amok fear and fantasy daydreams are pleasingly funny.
I think at times it was a little in your face obvious or cringe worthy. But it was unique enough to keep coming back for more.
One last thing - a new level has been reached in the jiggly tearing eyes that anime has down to a science. That one sequence had a super ripple in kaos' eyes. On the train.
So yep definitely worth watching for slice of life comedy relief.
Well shit, I lost $10
Ill say five since you were half right
