Manga magazine Monthly Shonen Sunday has revealed that Q Hayashida's Dorohedoro manga has a television anime adaptation in the works. The manga ended in Monthly Shonen Sunday's October issue on September 12.

    Lowdown
    :

In a city so dismal it's known only as "the Hole," a clan of Sorcerers have been plucking people off the streets to use as guinea pigs for atrocious "experiments" in the black arts. In a dark alley, Nikaido found Caiman, a man with a reptile head and a bad case of amnesia. To undo the spell, they're hunting and killing the Sorcerers in the Hole, hoping that eventually they'll kill the right one. But when En, the head Sorcerer, gets word of a lizard-man slaughtering his people, he sends a crew of "cleaners" into the Hole, igniting a war between two worlds.

Would've prefered a movie myself but it could still work. Hopeing for Mappa as the production studio and Kinich Suzuki as the director.

The show's first promotional video was streamed revealing the January 12 premiere date. The anime will stream in Japan on Netflix, and Netflix will premiere the show before its premiere on Japanese television.

    Right on the money.

    This looks awesome.

So I'm expecting Amazon to pick it up where I will watch it probably never.

The anime's second promotional video was streamed. The video previews the opening theme song "Welcome to Chaos" by the unit (K)NoW_NAME.

I sold a moped recently to a lady, and while she was getting it ready, her boyfriend and I talked about gaming and anime and he mentioned this new anime.

I looked it up and it looks insane. But so long as it's got a cohesive narrative and details in it, I'm game. Over the top is fine, so long as there's internal logic (see: Kill la Kill) and I love things that are dark with real stakes and real drama (see: Berserk).
    Good fit?

Nah, this show is just dark, comedic madness.

You sure? I heard someone say "Oh, it all makes sense at the end", so I was hopeful for that.

Yeah, from the manga perspective it surely will. But I haven't read the manga and following the show on a weekly basis, it does feel mad. Nonetheless a good watch.

Well, I'll give it an honest shot. Honestly, my friend told me the exact same thing about KLK (that it's total madness), and I completely disagreed upon watching it myself.
Maybe I'll wait until it's closer to being done or more-so, though.

    There's no rush.
