From the author and original creator of Koe no Katachi (A Silent Voice), Yoshitoki Ooima, To Your Eternity is one of those manga I've had my eye on for some time.

It's kind of like if the alien from John Carpenter's "The Thing" wasn't a murderous douchebag but a benevolent immortal being instead. In the manga we follow the journey of this immortal being that takes the shape of a boy and slowly learns how to become a human through his extensive travels and experiences.

    This here's the official lowdown:

It's available in English, Spanish and Russian. It's a new-ish manga with around 6 volumes out as of now. The art is nothing noteworthy but the plot is quite unique and engaging. Here's a random review:

For those subscribed to Crunchyroll manga, they've recently added this on their simulpublishing list. Or you could download and read it digitally on Kodansha Comics USA for around $2 a chapter I guess. It's available in print as well:

To Your Eternity is getting the anime treatment as well.

Kodansha has announced that the manga is inspiring a television anime that will premiere on NHK Educational in October. A teaser visual for the anime was also released.
