    Lol this some mad news.


    Hideo Yamamoto's manga has been confirmed for a live-action film adaptation that is scheduled for a 2021 release.


    Defo gonna watch this. Hopefully directed by Takashi Miike. :whistle:

    Lol Takashi Miike was born to direct this movie.

    Also, got caught at work reading this manga. Luckily it was on a scan site so they were distracted by the hentai ads. That was a close one.....

    Film's got a April 2, 2021 opening date. Gou Ayano will play the film's protagonist. Takashi Shimizu, the creator of the Ju-On horror film franchise, is directing the film. In addition to opening in theaters throughout Japan, the film will exclusively stream on Netflix worldwide.

    Avex Pictures streamed a teaser trailer for the film.

    Avex Pictures began streaming the first two minutes of the live-action film. The footage shows medical student Manabu Itō performing the "trepanation" operation by opening a hole in the head of the protagonist Susumu Nakoshi. The footage also features the main theme song "Trepanation" by millennium parade.

    The film will debut on Netflix worldwide on April 22. The film began playing in Japanese theaters on April 2.
