    Title: Inuyasha The Final Act
    Release date: 2009
Number of Episodes: 26(It's the continuation, and ending to the original series)
Genre: Action, Adventure, Drama, Romance, Fantasy, Comedy
    Writer: Katsuyuki Sumizawa
    Director: Yasunao Aoki
    Creator: Rumiko Takahashi

Premise: Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango, and their neko-mata friend Kirara is now on the final leg of their quest to put an end to the elusive demon Naraku, plus ultimately undo the unfortunate Karma of the Jewel of Four Souls.

Additional info Most of the original VA were brought back to do the Final Act, however Kagome, and Sesshomaru have new VA(haven't seen the "high" quality english dub yet, so don't know for 100% how good they are), the new VA for Sesshomaru is Michael Daingerfield(interviews with other members of the team claim he can mimic the voice almost perfectly), and Kagome's VA is Kira Tozer. As a heads up, the first part(first 13 episodes) of the high quality english dub will be released this Nov, on the 20th.

Opening: "Kimi Ga Inai Mirai" by Do As Infinity(for all 26 episodes [IMG] )
Ending 1: "With You" by AAA
    Ending 2: "Diamond" by Alan
Ending 3: "Tōi Michi no Saki de" (aka The Long Road Ahead) by Ai Takekawa

Personal Opinion: hm where to begin, It's so great, I don't want to give out spoilers. In short It's the best ending to anything period, It's the kind of ending die hard fans of a series would spend years coming up with, after being very disappointed with a ending viewers were given, so as hard as it is to believe, it was worth every bit of the 5 year delay/wait. If this is the kind of ending series ended up getting in general after a delay, people would be more then happy to wait(infact they would be begging for a delay).

Here's my attempt at a more Descriptive take on it, while avoiding spoilers. The art/music is awesome as always, the opening song is one of thier best pieces, if not the best(with that being after Do As Infinity disbaned/reformed, and replaced a member, that's an astounding/unheard of achievement to say the least). The story was masterfully handled, it has a bit faster pace to it then the original(which makes sense since It's leading up to the end), yet doesn't feel rushed at all(the execution couldn't have been better), one of the char(not gonna say who though, so to not spoil it) developes exponentially(to such an extent the char actually changes Archetype, but in a very good way, trust me you'll love how the char developes), and all the other char have a proper/decent amount of development to them too(that's how well it is written, there's a lot of char development going on in 26 episodes, yet still doesn't feel rushed).

There are more then one unsuspecting plot twist that you'll never see coming, and there's atleast a few really good emotional scenarios that go real deep into the char. All the plot holes, and such that were left when the original series ended with a cliffhanger, were filled in perfectly as well.

This is a must watch for any fan of anime in general, It's that amazing, and well rounded(it has everything that the original had going for it, and much more. In sort: While everyone had their favorite episodes in the original series, because some were better then other/more epic, there's none of that here, pretty much every episode is epic, and will for the most part, be impossible to choose a favorite, they are all so good).

Something truly miraculous happened here, the creator fell in love with her own creation, and omg boy does it show. Inuyasha+Inuyasha the Final Act was creating by someone who is known throughout the industry for never making much of a ending, and that's if she makes a ending at all. However due to her truly loving her creation, she of all people is now credited with creating the first and only perfect ending to anything ever created(not even just out of anime either).

I had no idea this existed. I watched the original anime and as it is known and expected from Rumiko Takahashi the final episode at the time just pretty much threw things in the air for the anime. To hear that there have been more episodes created to the series is something really unexpected. I definitely want to catch up to them.

Also, more surprising that a series got picked up again for another season, is to read that it actually qualifies as a proper ending made with care and love is something really neat to hear.
