Not going to lie, this has peaked my interest.
Yes, I am also interested. Was not expecting the trailer to be first this good and also make him a back story where he was the victim.
The Killing Joke is one of my all time fave comics so can't wait. Also De Niro's characters is meant to be the same guy he played in 'The King Of Comedy.' If so...then thats some inspired cross over shit lol.
Anyway, this looks great and well done Warner Bros for making a trailer that doesn't give away all the twist and ending. Knew you could do it.
Looks mental. Defo interested.
In a sense, this reminds me of A Clockwork Orange a bit. That is a very good thing for this trailer to do as that is one of the my favorite films as well as book. Anything that can capture hints of what made that film amazing will always get a view from me.
What a masterpiece of a movie that is.
Really feel like this is gonna be stellar.
Can't freaking wait and that Laugh?
IGN gave it a 10/10 must see sounds like!
Jump in the van fam, we're gonna go watch The Joker.
Or Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. Either way, A PROPER MOVIE!
On a somewhat similar vide, I cannot wait to see a new Martin Scorsese movie.
This premiered in TIFF and viewer reviews are very positive. Shame it's still a month away from global release.
4th October here.
Couldn't catch it this weekend. Will prolly get tickets next week.
So everyone and their grandma decided to watch this on Sunday. I mean they had tickets but I don't like the screen rammed to the rafters.
But I swear, the amount of spoilers that have come out from the faux outrage is criminal.
This movie didn't really feel like a joker movie to me. It felt like joker was just super imposed on top of the movie that could have been something else without it. Pheonix's joker also doesn't feel like any other joker in the movies especially dark knight. To me it does not feel like joker but rather something else entirely. Maybe thats the whole point of it but I think the movie takes away its chances of a standalone when it included the scene of Bruces parents being shot. So this automatically ties it in with the other movies. It might have been better not to do this so that way it feels something entirely on its own.
Was the performance great? Yeah it was pheonix was pretty exceptional in his performance and the movie overall was entertaining. The directing was good as was most other things on a technical level good shots and whatnot. But not this does not take the cake from Heath Ledgers Joker and neither is it as good of a movie. But good entertaiment none-theless though nothing mind blowing either. It's a strange movie when you think about it. You're not really supposed to take superhero comic book villains that seriously and I feel like this takes joker too seriously and its own ideas too seriously. You were never supposed to take joker that seriously and I feel like as a result it ruins the Joker you see in dark knight.
Mixed feelings about it. Expected a few more iconic scenes tbh. There wasn't enough of that juice. But the mood was pretty dark and dirty. Madness takes time to peak I guess.
Man even Kuze isn't raving about it.
I don't know, something just didn't feel complete about it.
Some of them episodes in his home reminded me a bit of the Machinist. Getting inside the fridge, sitting clueless on the sofa.
