After reading the manga I was waiting for this.
EDIT: It's a movie so I'm kinda scared that they took out lots of things...

Well, good to know the movie did well. I'm conflicted on whether I preferred it to be an anime or a movie. I loved the manga, in fact I made a thread about it a long time ago on the old forum. You 'member?
Nah I don't remember, sorry.
I am really interested to watch this but I think it'll have to wait. Just like any other anime movie, it'll take some time before this hits streaming. Though I can take hope from the fact that Gantz O got picked up by Netflix within 4 months. Viz Media has picked it up but I'm not aware of Viz's streaming program, so its a long wait.
That's k. I 'member.
I wonder when Netflix will start making its own anime.
Not much a Review of a Silent Voice, just my views on the movie itself. very Short.
Spoiler: There's Bad Language
Ueno is fucking trash. Let's just get that out there.
Overall this took the top spot as my favorite movie of all time. My heart was just in my throat the entire movie. While I was waiting to ball my eyes out crying though I didn't. There were only spurts when I would get really teary eyed, and I always find that more enjoyable then one really sad part. There were just so many moments where I had to sit back and just go, "God Damn these fucking kids..."
The sad thing is I feel most kids and even adults can relate to both Shouko and Ishida' situations. The world is a shitty place with shitty people in it and to have to fit in with society you need to make connections. Sometimes those connections can be a downfall unfortunately.
Also don't even listen to what I said lol. You just have to experience this movie for yourself. I went into this movie with High Expectations and they were surpassed.
10/10 Easily. Next week will be Your Name. Let's see if it can blow me away like A Silent Voice Did.
Read the manga a year or two ago. I'm not really a fan of romantic manga but Koe no Katachi really touched my heart. Didn't watch the movie though, i don't think they'll manage to squeeze so manu things into a movie.
A buddy of mine showed me the trailer.
I caught the feels immediately.
I can't wait to watch this.
This looks really good, hope it comes out soon and hope it gets a dub aswell.

Well, that was a beautiful surprise. Kyoto Animation's art style is posh as always.
This scene gave me a heart attack
And what happened after that gave me another. So I'm actually posting this reply out of ER.
Shouya, as a character, taught me something valuable. I wish second chances were so generous.
A beautiful and absorbing watch. I'd recommend it for the romance lovers out there.
Also Marie's dad is the actual protagonist. Just so you know.
