yeah, I agree. It is good but nothing special. Not sure why it was nominated... I have seen "The Mitchells vs The Machines", that was ok as well. Maybe the other's are better. The thing is once you have seen anime, western animation kind of takes a back seat. While I do enjoy Pixar/Disney animated movies, anime just seems to be at a higher level.
Encanto won.. Didn't see it live but when reading the recap, saw the slap heard around the world --> see link here.
Chris Rock checking his face for 'fresh prints.' He needs to bring out that special before all the jokes are made.
Edit: Snap you got here 6 minutes b4 I did. That was a good one. -That whole bitch slapping incident was just awkward af.
I'll check Drive My Car and power Of Dog. And rewatch Dune. Coda not so much. Also he needed to apologise to Rock during his speech not wait next day and let his PR team handle it.
Drive My Car is very arthouse, slow emotion kinda stuff. And I think it was 3hrs long. The concept was okay tho.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cn...nt/will-smith-resigns-from-academy/index.html Will Smith resigns from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. This comes as he was facing ‘disciplinary proceedings’ by the Academy, following last Sunday’s show.
Will Smith needs some serious psychological help. Hopefully, he goes to therapy soon.. Chris Rock on the other hand is handling this like a champ and his current comedy tour is sold out everywhere.
