So as promised I am launching t he postcard exchange topic.

Do you want a post card from another member in forum. Then join the topic!

Rules are simple until JAN 10 write here if you want to participate. A week after that you will receive a letter from me where you will have to give a required information (address; what do you like and what kind of postcard you would like to receive). Until JAN 28 I process the information and do pair randomisation and sent people's nicknames, addesses and likes to random members.
And then there will be the time for you do your magic: until FEB 14 you would have to choose and send a postcard (BY REGISTERED MAIL, so we could track the mailing processes if there are some questions).

Dates are PRELIMINARY if something changes I will inform.

So me, @Pinky The Blue Flamingo and @Kuze are already on the list.

And as a smart person said, think before you do:
    1. Participate only if you are 100 percent sure that you will be able to send a card.
    2. Nor me, nor the staff of sakuga city takes any tresponsibility for the people who won't send, receive a card or any other misfotunes this topica can bring. So either way, take force majeure into the account.

    Let's have fun! :)

That moment when you've never been to the post office. EVER!

    Anyway, letz do this.

@Raffee says Panda are good with mails.

Yup can't remember a single day in my life when I went to the post office.

Anyway did my reading on this stuff and I can send mail to pretty much any part of the world....pretty much....at reasonable rates.

But funny thing is, our national postal institution doesn't provide service at your country Fantasy. They do Latvia but not yours. But there's a private courier service that does do.

Seriously (....No2)? Hmm I think I have to do some reading before doing randomisation. Thanks for mentioning. Someone (points to herself) has to do proper research.

I'm not participating because I don't like the idea of giving my address to someone random. :) Privately with friends from here, perhaps.

As for Kuze never being in a post office? Wow, you young'uns. I always, always send out physical Christmas cards to close friends. It's a tradition that I refuse to let go of because it has some meaning to it. It's a lot more personal than a facebook message or email. That takes no effort and one can easily mass send those around to all their FB friends or via email. Writing and sending a card shows that you actually thought of that person. I don't go all out and hand make them though. I usually just buy a charity pack where the proceeds go to a charity. They're usually pretty nice and you're supporting a cause. ^^

I feel that people are becoming less and less social because of social media. The ones that stopped sending me Christmas cards back, are ultimately the ones that have reduced themselves to a facebook friendship and I never see in person anymore despite not living 100 miles away. I don't send those ones a card anymore because I feel there isn't a point. It's sad imo.

    Wow a handwritten card?

Seems like those days are long gone. This sounds like a great idea.

This is a little off topic... But it gave me an idea.

Would anyone be interested in exchanging currency for the purpose of coin collecting?

I like this idea. I travel often and it would be interesting to pick up local post cards from an artist(s) from various states and send it off.

Aww shit. I'm probably too late. :(
If it's still possible to participate, I would like to be in this.
BTW, how can you refer a person in a post? My dumbass couldn't figure it out. o_O

Yeah sure. I think @Fantasy wont mind.

You type @ and without leaving any gap, start typing the username of the person you want to quote. The said username will pop up as you type and then you select it.

Well, the cutoff date was supposed to be the tenth, but if the option of participating has been extended then what the hell. One little post card couldn't hurt that much. Hope we're not going to be too critical on subject matter, not sure what I'll find around here for a card.
