So part 1 of the 3rd season has ended and part 2 is scheduled to premiere with episode 50 in April 2019. Guess it's time to sit down and start this finally.
Oh, so that explains the somewhat unusual ending. A little cryptic but not unexpected by the way things have been going. You’ll see.
Finished halfway and we atleast know Eren's origin story but I wonder when the anime is gonna address the bigger picture and shit outside the walls, like Marley. I don't read the manga but I've spoiled myself on the bigger picture and key events that have been covered in the anime but didn't make complete sense to me per se, and I am excited for what's to come. Heard that the first half of the season covered till chapter 72 or thereabouts so the 2nd part in April should well be into the thick of it starting with "Breaching that goddamn basement" I assume. Being an anime-exclusive fan is a pain in the ass.
Guess we'll just have to sit and wait till April. I'll proll forget half the important deets by then. Finished the season and it wasn't an abrupt ending. Heard they roped in 15 Animation Directors and 52 key animators to deliver this episode. Lol, must have been an absolute ruckus. I really couldn't recognize Bertholdt from this angle with the wind and sun on his face. Looks like a proper lady-killer. https://i.imgur.com/VYxNeVT.png Yeah those scenes crept outta nowhere. I was expecting some sort of end credit scene but I didn't expect it to turn up as if my computer was about to crash. I'm guessing that scene with Levi, Mikasa and Eren was something to do with that certain Armin business. I might be wrong though, cause this is me speculating without even reading the manga.
Haven't seen any of the manga myself so I'm totally out of the loop in that respect. My thoughts were that whole deal with trying to seal the wall went horribly wrong, but I could be wrong. What got me in season 3 was it looked like the beast titan was totally forgotten about, at least there was a cameo to show he's still around.
I think they said the start is 4/28 around here. Really don’t want to watch it, there’s no way that any sense could be made of it at this point. Probably will, though.
I was planning on dropping this but since I never picked up Fairy Gone I guess I can fit this into my watch schedule. First episode has aired. Attack on Titan Season 3 Part 2 Ending Full -「Name of Love」by Cinema Staff
Episode 53 was brutal. I'd defo charge into death if Erwin was leading. No regrets whatsoever. Aaaaaaaand we still don't get to get inside that shitty basement.
So Funimation has announced that the eng_sub will be delayed beginning with episode 54. New episodes will be delayed from Sundays to Wednesdays. Apparently some sublicensees leaked new episodes before the premieres in Japan. The licensor decided to give show materials to Funimation after the premieres of upcoming episodes in order to prevent further leaks. Therefore, new episodes will be delayed to Wednesdays "to provide enough time for each company to work on subtitles and quality control, and make sure that all territories can launch at the same time."
So apparently the problem has been sorted and the episodes will be airing on Sundays as usual. But there will be a delay of 6 hrs or something.
Two weeks ago I shuddered to watch any new eps for the continued failures and poor performance of the scouts as well as various plot inconsistencies. The last two eps actually seem to turn a lot of that around and make it enjoyable to watch again. Would’ve been better if Levi didn’t f*ck up, so uncharacteristic of him. Don’t see how there could be anything of real interest in the still unseen basement. I think more could be understood just by examining the mindset of the beast titan clan.
