I'm not big on the title, no, but I think it has something to do with the inclusion of the word 'Jedi'.

    The Phantom Menace
    The Empire Strikes Back
    A New Hope
    Attack of the Clones
    Revenge of the Sith
    The Force Awakens

All of these sound more evocative and interesting than The Last Jedi, and Return of the Jedi. Had they gone with Revenge instead of Return for episode VI, as they initially planned, I'd consider that a weak title as well. I think it revolves entirely on that particular word. It's a weird complaint, but it's no big deal.

I have a bad feeling Luke is going to die and Rey will become the Last Jedi.

Pretty sure the title refers to luke because for all intents and purposes he is the last jedi but i can see it referring to rey too, as return of the jedi (jedi don't take revenge) also referred to luke

How is it any less evocative than "Revenge of the Sith?" It's virtually the same title.

It's a suitable title, as there is only one known Jedi in the galaxy, and he'll likely be passing that mantle onto another generation in this next movie.

Yeah, I'm betting on Mark Hamill becoming a blue ghost man and passing the torch. That way they can film all of his shots for the rest of the trilogy with a second unit in a tiny room and save a bunch of time and money, not to mention giving them some leeway in case he up and dies on everyone.

I dunno. Something about the word Jedi just doesn't get my goose geesin'. Sith just sounds more foreboding and meaningful in the context of Star Wars.

I don't really have much of an explanation. :p

Well they've never had a release schedule like this before, with a Star Wars movie every year for more than half a decade. They need to give each film its time in the spotlight. Rogue One is just finishing up its time.

very true. im just glad it's still strong :)

im both excited and nervous about the han solo spinoff. if it gets the same resources as rogue one did it should do very well. i mean director and supporting cast wise. obviously Disney will spend money on it. i just hope the cast and crew are chosen wisely.

The big thing I'm wondering about is the red logo. (Trust a graphic designer to notice stuff like that.) The logo had never been red, it's always been yellow. I think the red could have some huge significance to what's going to happen in this one. Probably indicates that this one is going to be very dark. They do use red a lot when it comes to the Sith... *is thinking red light sabers*

    :O

I didn't even notice this. There's already plenty of articles and videos on it. You know, Sith have been shown to change allegiances. Maybe the Red is telling us that Kylo Ren will become even crueler and darker ;( poor guy

I actually had a thought that maybe because of the red title, maybe kylo rin was the last jedi?

good note about the red thanks :)

well I'll say this if theres one thing star wars has done well from the beginning it has to be getting fans guessing and drooling and debating long before the official marketing kicks off.

Well it is the middle of the trilogy. The middle sequel usually is the darkest part.

Kylo Ren isn't even a Sith, I doubt he'll become the baddest dude in the galaxy.

I don't know which is more likely, though -- Ren turning good once more, or the writers deliberately avoiding that obvious Star Wars cliche and make him a more mature, collected villain.

Kylo Ren would become a proper Lord of the Sith if he developed into a darker character. I hope that is what happens.

he killed han solo. i dont think you rehibiltate that type. yes vader relented at the end but he was dying. at best he would have gone into hiding ala obi wan because he would have been hunted down as a war criminal.
