Well Godzilla's a better crowd puller than SAO and marketing budget limitations of course.
so toho must be bigger then huh?
Yup definitely. They're the distributors of Ghibli films and kaiju films (plus a lot of popular Japanese classics and franchises) in the West. They've got an advantageous structure in place than the rest of the competition.
cool didn't know they had any anime. thanks.
im fortunate i should be able to see it.
I am wanting to see if it is playing in my City. I would like to go to it, but I only want to watch it if it is subbed.
It is playing in my City on Marc 9th. I think I might get a group of friends to go and see it.
I saw the PV...one can only hope Asuna dies and Kirito can move on with his life.
Gosh @Sora Senpai, why does it have to be Asuna, why can't it be Kirito? There is no way he can beat everything.
She's generic love interest. Ive always had my problems with SAO that I could basically write a book about...well a small book.
I agree with Kirito though, he just wins at everything lol.
im hoping for an asuna Kirito wedding so there :,D
I hope they tone down the harem nonsense, and actually focus on a plot. Though seeing how the anime and games are, my expectations are gonna be low. I'm expecting that there's going to be about 10 mins explaining the plot in the beginning, then there's random nonsense, and harem fanservice. Then the staff remembers that they were supposed to make an action movie, and sprinkle brief action scenes here and there, then remember that there was a plot just in time for the climax of the movie, and end on a big action scene.
But what you don't know is that Kirito be like:

I literally had tears in my eyes at the end. I went with my anime friend and had a great time. Id say the theater was about 85 to 90% full.
Cant wait for the bluray!
Aniplex of America opened ticket sales for English-dubbed screenings of the Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale anime film on Tuesday. The dub will screen in U.S. theaters on April 22. Some theaters are listed with screenings on April 23. Azoland Pictures is distributing the film.
The dub will premiere at the Anime Boston convention, which will be held from March 31-April 2.
Ill wait for the bluray. Fathom tickets are pricey. 15.00 if i remember right. Also im not much into dubs.
Went out to theatres to watch this. I was disappointed to say the least. I assumed that since the series was so bland and without depth, that the movie would have been fine; instead of worrying about content for 50 episodes they only have to worry about 2 hours. I was wrong.
Good soundtrack, at least.
Was it similar to how I predicted the movie to be, or is it slightly better than that, but just with a boring story?
