    Lowdown:

In his second year of fighting crime, Batman uncovers corruption in Gotham City that connects to his own family while facing a serial killer known as the Riddler.

    Cast:

    Matt Reeves (director)
Robert Pattinson (Bruce Wayne / Batman)
Zoë Kravitz (Selina Kyle / Catwoman)
Paul Dano (Edward Nashton / Riddler)
Jeffrey Wright ( Lieutenant James Gordon)
    John Turturro
    Peter Sarsgaard
Andy Serkis ( Alfred Pennyworth: Batman's butler and mentor)
Colin Farrell (Oswald "Oz" Cobblepot / Penguin)

Reeves has sought to emphasize the detective side of the character to a greater extent than previous Batman films, and was inspired by the comic books "Year One" (1987), The Long Halloween (1996–1997), and "Ego" (2000).

The film is scheduled for release in the United States on March 4, 2022. Two sequels are planned and two spin-off television series are in development for HBO Max.

Imagine if I had found out about Pattinson from The Lighthouse or Good Time without having any idea of his previous works. Man would have been my new fav artist by now. But yeah, this looks sweet.

This seems REALLY good. But, the Riddler? Really? How they going to make a C class villain intimidating? Even in Hush he turned out to be a joke at the end. Kind of hope they do another movie with Mr. Freeze in it again someday, but actually do that character justice like in Heart of Ice.

I will be keeping my eye on this one. It's possible it could be quite good if they do things correctly. A Batman film focused more on the detective aspect of the role? I'm interested for sure.
