Yoshitomo Yonetani, who's directed the Tiger & Bunny anime films, has confirmed on Twitter that he is not working on the new anime series project. He said that he did not receive an offer to work on the project, and he will root for the staff and cast "as just an ordinary citizen."

Sunrise studio has announced that the new anime project in the Tiger & Bunny franchise is titled Double Decker! Doug & Kirill. The anime will premiere this year.

This "buddy series" anime is "one part" of the new Tiger & Bunny anime series project. The series will follow a two-man detective team: one who is a veteran and one who is a rookie.
