Or, more specifically, a radge bampot? Ya gotta love the local colloquialisms, they sure add a little colour to an otherwise boring language. This was part of a protester’s sign in Edinburgh that caught my eye, thought it sounded pretty good.

Radge bampot basically means a mad idiot. That's what the internet's tell me anyway.

Bampot in itself basically means "a crazy idiot" when they put Radge on front of it, they're kinda putting emphasis on the crazy.

In Ireland we say "crackpot" which is basically the same. lol. I think that might be used in England and other places too, so people might identify more with that.

I asked a Scottish person to explain. XD.

Ha, I'll have to give Dunn credit for his own twisted explanation. Crazy idiot does make sense. That is kind of a dull analogy, I think that I kind of like "radge bampot". Have to admit though, I did think that it would turn out to be a little more vulgar than it really is.

Even as a Scottish person, I'd struggle to tell you where we get 'radge' from. It is kind of a playground insult rather than anything truly nasty though.

My favourite sign was "Ahm gonnae [relieve myself] in yer kettle". It's so... Specific.

Someone get a clip of Willie from The Simpsons to saying it out loud. I can't conceptualize any of this.

Or Scotty in Star Trek, “ Captain, the engines were badly damaged in the attack. If we jump to warp speed now she’s gonna blow, ya radge bampot! “.
